The M_P_U_Network's Vision Statement
The 'M_P_U_ Network' was designed to accommodate the needs of those SB Contractors who understand that – moving forward -- Small Businesses must be bigger in order to meet the needs of today's Federal Acquisition System.
Specifically, members of this Network acknowledge the importance of utilizing 'Co-Opetition' as a proactive collaboration strategy for capturing Consolidated and/or Bundled contracting opportunities.
Among the Network's goal is support of the Administration's efforts to revitalize and empower this Nation's SB Community. This goal will be supported by the Network's effort to deliver agile SB Solutions to all of the 'Requirements' that are sought by Federal Agencies (i.e. SB Set-Asides, Bundled & Sub-Contracting Opportunities).
The Network also intends to leverage existing FAR & CFR Authorities that promote 'Maximum Practicable Utilization' of SBs in Federal Contracting. These Authorities include, but are not limited to:
• § 125.19 When may a contracting officer set-aside a procurement for SBCs
• § 121.103 (h) (1-5) CFR Addressing Affiliation
FAR 9.104-3 (d) SBA Certificate of Competency
15.305 (iii) Proposal evaluation [past performance ]
19.1402 Federal agencies that employ one or more contracting officers
52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting, and so on...
As a member of this Network you will be afforded the following opportunities:
1. SB to SB Match Making Sessions For Capacity Building
2. Educational Outlets For Acquiring Knowledge On Effective Collaborative Strategies That Lead To Material Contract Capture (i.e. > $100 Million)
3. Match Making Sessions with Large Prime Contractors (i.e. Seeking Teaming/Subcontractor Resources)
4. Government Relations Support (i.e. Conflict Resolution @ The Policy, Agency, Contract or Task-Order Level)
This Network was designed to support the needs of those emerging SBs that seek ownership of the capacity necessary to interface with a 'rapidly growing' unmet spending demand. Therefore, start-ups are welcome but may find the Network to be more beneficial during Phase II or III of their business development.
That said; welcome one and all to what surly will be a life changing and profit generating Networking experience!
